John D. Lamey, III has been filing bankruptcies for a diverse group of debtors since 2003, having filed more than three thousand petitions. Elaine Wise is an associate attorney with Lamey Law Firm, P.A. She grew up in Mankato, Minnesota and attended college at Minnesota State University Mankato, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Elaine attended law school at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. She graduated and was admitted to the bar in 2007. Elaine enjoys working with clients to help them see a “light at the end of the tunnel” and to help them obtain relief from their financial struggles, which so often cause stress and anxiety. There is no better reward than when clients are able to convey that they feel better after having received some counsel with regard to their financial situation. In her spare time Elaine enjoys running and gardening. Elaine is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the MSBA Bankruptcy Section and volunteers her time to the Volunteer Lawyers Network.
Teresa P. Lamey is of counsel with Lamey Law Firm, P.A. She grew up in Sunfish Lake, Minnesota, and attended Convent of the Visitation School in Mendota Heights. Teresa earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA. She lived in Charlotte, NC, and Palm Beach, FL, working in the luxury hospitality industry before returning to Minnesota in 2000. She graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in June 2003, and was subsequently admitted to the Minnesota State Bar. Teresa has been involved with the law firm since 2004, and concentrating her practice in personal bankruptcy and divorce. She quite enjoys providing a non-judgmental atmosphere in which clients can be comfortable and know that the laws are in place to assist them when necessary. Teresa is passionate about world affairs, languages and travel. She is fluent in French and has studied Arabic and Japanese. She has also obtained an MBA in International Business from the International University of Monaco in 2006.
